I drug an old pallet into the garden and flopped it under the Choke cherry tree next to the faucet. Now I have a deck. It's nice to have a place to wash and peal veggies in the shade without making a mud puddle..

I hate mud in the garden so much that I mulch my pathways, and walk on the sides of them if water is in the middle. The only disadvantage to this is that you can't really cut the water off to your tomato plant when you want them to start ripening because the plant roots cross under the pathways and extend everywhere..

They got up into the tiniest crevasses and sucked the plants juices until they got too fat to get them out. I kept breaking the head into smaller and smaller pieces and spraying them with the hose until I got down to quarter inch florets with aphid still stuck inside.
