I have a 7' tall fence around my garden which is tall enough to keep the deer out but not the turkeys. They perch on it while perusing their meal site. They don't eat plants but they dig up the mulch with their knarly claws and make a mess. I hope they are after the slugs and earwigs and not eating the earthworms. This morning the garden looked like it had been rototilled..
I was glad that I had put the wire tunnels over my transplants or they would have gotten trampled. I had moved my little mud balls to ground that wasn't moist enough and it sucked the water away from the roots. They wilted overnight. Live and learn..
