How To Determine What you Pay for Electricity

  • Method #1: Very Accurate
    This method determines the cost of electricity for the items that you have control over. It requires your power bill, and a little more math.

  • Method #2: Accurate
    This method determines the average cost that you pay for electricity across all of the items that you use. It requires your power bill, and a little less math.

  • Method #3: State Averages
    Not quite as accurate, this method looks up the average cost in your area based on a table of known electricity costs. It does not require your power bill or any math.
